Hong Kong/Geneva – Infiniti presented its all-new expanded product line-up for the first time in Europe today at the Geneva International Motor Show. With the European premieres of two daring new models and one significantly updated vehicle, Infiniti has established a comprehensive and highly attractive offer for customers in Europe and around the world, forming an excellent basis for further growth globally.

All three European debuts share Infiniti’s iconic design language, innovative technologies and precise driving characteristics. They deliver on the company’s promise to expand its portfolio, once again showing its concept to reality covenant. All-new isthe Q60 Red Sport coupe, promising a powerful drive from a highly-advanced new V6 engine, and the QX30 premium active crossover, with its elevated stance, concept-like exterior, and asymmetric cabin design.

They are joined by the refreshed Q50 sports saloon, which features significant performance and dynamic upgrades that deliver a more empowering and rewarding drive experience.

Roland Krueger, President of Infiniti Motor Company, commented: “2015 was a successful year for Infiniti, as we transformed our product line-up and established a sales record for the brand around the world. The three new cars, which make their European debuts here in Geneva, highlight our ongoing commitment to developing and expanding Infiniti’s product portfolio.”

The launch of these new and upgraded models in Europe comes at a time of rapid growth for Infiniti. The company sold a record 215,250 new vehicles in 2015, representing a year-on-year rise of 16%.

All-new Q60 sports coupe: designed and engineered to perform

Infiniti continues to build on its reputation in the global sports coupe segment as the new Q60 makes its European premiere inGeneva. The car will go on sale in Europe in the second half of 2016.

The Q60 features a striking interpretation of Infiniti’s ‘Powerful Elegance’ design language muscular lines and distinctive proportions. At the heart of the car is an all-new lightweight and sophisticated ‘VR30’ 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine.

The Q60 Red Sport shown in Geneva features the high-powered 400 hp V6 engine, which provides the car with one of the best power-to-efficiency ratings in the sports coupe class.

The Q60 is also available with the company’s second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering – comprehensively modified from the ground-breaking first-generation system – and Infiniti’s new Dynamic Digital Suspension, which gives the sports coupe an optimal blend of ride comfort and class-leading response and agility.

All-new QX30: a premium active crossover for all environments

The second all-new Infiniti model making its European debut is the QX30, joining the recently released Q30 as part of the brand’s new premium compact line-up.

With a purposeful, elevated crossover appearance and signature Infiniti design cues, the QX30 makes a bold visual statement. It remains true to the ‘Powerful Elegance’ design approach that guided the original QX30 concept shown at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show.

The all-new QX30 will be introduced to selected markets in the middle of 2016.

2016 Q50: a premium sports saloon delivering an empowering drive

Driving the recent success of Infiniti’s premium model line-up is the Q50, updated comprehensively for 2016 and revealed to European audiences for the first time at the 86th Geneva International Motor Show. The Q50 sports saloon has played a critical role in the brand’s sustained global growth.

As well as the powerful all-new V6 engine found in the Q60 sports coupe, making its debut in the Q50 is the company’s second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering and Infiniti’s new Dynamic Digital Suspension.

Hong Kong/Geneva – The new 2016 Infiniti Q50 sports sedan is being launched with a number of performance and dynamic upgrades that deliver a more empowering and rewarding drive experience. The comprehensive updates include next-generation ride and handling technologies and all-new advanced turbocharged V6 powertrains.

Making its debut on an Infiniti is the company’s second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering, comprehensively modified from the ground-breaking first-generation system. Infiniti has enhanced the Direct Adaptive Steering after gathering customer feedback from around the world and completing over 1 million kilometres (625,000 miles) of real-world testing.

The standard steering mode now offers advanced levels of steering feel and feedback – more akin to that of a conventional steering system. In addition, the upgraded system offers even more options to personalize and tailor the steering system’s levels of response and feel to suit their own preferences.

The new Q50 also features Infiniti’s Dynamic Digital Suspension (DDS) for the first time, which gives the new sports sedan an optimal blend of ride comfort and class-leading response and agility. For those drivers looking for a blend of dynamic settings tailored to their own particular requirements and tastes, the Q50’s Drive Mode Selector (DMS) can be augmented with ‘Personal’ mode, which permits a bespoke mix of engine, suspension and steering characteristics.

Five powertrain options are offered with the Infiniti Q50, and for the 2016 model these include an advanced, all-new 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine with direct injection. This new ‘VR30’ engine is available in two states of tune: 300 hp or 400 hp – both developed to provide an ideal mix of drivability, efficiency and performance.

Also available on the Q50 is a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit producing 208 hp, and a hybrid powertrain which combines a 3.5-liter V6 and a compact laminated lithium-ion battery with an innovative one-motor, two-clutch control.

The new Q50 will also be available with the 2.2-liter direct-injection four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 170 hp.

The Q50 was developed from the outset to showcase Infiniti’s daring design, dynamic performance and class-leading technologies within the sports sedan segment. Now in its third year, Q50 global sales in 2015 reached 78,764 models – representing a 44% increase compared to the same period in 2014.

Technical partner of new Renault Sport Formula One Team from 2016

Infiniti’s successful involvement in Formula One enters a new phase in 2016, as Infiniti announced its new technical partnership with the newly launched Renault Sport Formula One Team.

The partnership will see a team of Infiniti hybrid specialists move from the company’s technical center in Atsugi, Japan, to France to support development of the ERS of theRenault Sport F1Team power unit. Infiniti – with a reputation for producing performance hybrid vehicles – will use the experience from the F1 ERS system to further enhance its hybrid powertrains for future road cars.
