Volvo Trucks will display vehicles from their new Euro-6 compliant range at stand Y5, Hillhead 2014, Buxton, Derbyshire between Tuesday 24th – Thursday 26th June 2014. The FMX, FM and FH16 vehicles will make an appearance on the stand to reinforce Volvo Group’s message of ‘Strength in Depth’. They will support their sister companies, Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Penta, on the stand.
Taking centre stage will be the FMX, equipped with a Euro-6 compliant D13K-540hp engine. It will feature alongside Volvo Construction Equipment’s star machines to illustrate how it can perform in heavy construction applications. With a new air suspension system and 300mm ground clearance, the FMX is designed to traverse rugged terrain.
Bodied for lighter construction work, such as transporting aggregate, an 8×4 FM Tridem will also be on display. Launched in 2013, the new series FM’s air-suspended Tridem configuration provides class-leading manoeuvrability both on- and off-site.
The third truck on the stand – having only been launched this month – will be a brand-new series FH16-750 Euro-6, a truck that provides the power to transport heavy machinery long distances between sites. With its 3550Nm of torque, this is a truck that is designed to efficiently overcome the logistical challenges that construction companies sometimes face.
All of the trucks will feature on the 1860m2, two-tiered Volvo Group stand where Volvo Construction Equipment will showcase their latest Stage IV engine technology in their new star-machines, as well as their class-leading customer support. The stand will be powered by a Volvo Penta generator, who will also be exhibiting two engines and a Pioneer pump at the stand.
Established in 1982, Hillhead is a major event in the UK construction industry calendar. At the last event in 2012, 458 exhibitors took part, of which Volvo had the largest stand and overall the event attracted 16,675 visitors.
