2017 NISSAN ALTIMA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan today announced U.S. pricing for the 2017 Nissan Altima, which is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide with a starting MSRP of $22,500 USD* – unchanged from the 2016 Altima 2.5 model. Altima continues to lead Nissan sales in 2016 (through August), following sales of more than 333,000 units last year.

The 2017 Altima is available in a choice of seven models – 2.5, 2.5 S, 2.5 SR, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, 3.5 SR and 3.5 SL. The sporty Altima SR, introduced just last year as part of a major Altima redesign, now accounts for over 30 percent of total sales. The five 2.5-liter models feature a 182-horsepower 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine, while 3.5-liter Altimas offer a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6. All 2017 Altima are equipped with an advanced Xtronic transmission.

The 2017 Altima again offers class-leading** standard fuel economy of 39 miles per gallon highway for Altima 2.5-liter engine equipped models – a full six miles per gallon advantage over the leading competitive model (by sales) in the segment.

The list of available Altima class-exclusive*** features includes Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Easy-fill Tire Alert and NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats. Available Nissan Safety Shield technologies range from radar-based Blind Spot Warning and Intelligent Cruise Control to Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Altima also offers available 7.0-inch displays, Siri™ Eyes Free (standard on all grade levels except 2.5), NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Mobile Apps and NissanConnect Services Powered by SiriusXM® telematics (SiriusXM® subscription required, sold separately).

Beginning in June 2017, Altima 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL and 3.5 SL grades add Forward Emergency Braking (FEB)1 and Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW)2 as standard equipment.

The popular Midnight Edition, introduced in winter 2017, continues to be offered for 2017.5. In addition, the Moonroof Package is added as a no cost option on the 2.5 SL.

Finally, the model grade lineup has been simplified with the discontinuation of the base 2.5 and 3.5 SR trim levels.

With a new exterior appearance, a refined personal space interior, enhanced connectivity, more available safety and security features and an expanded model lineup introduced for the 2016 model year, the Nissan Altima’s strong sales momentum as one of the top choices for mid-size sedan buyers seeking style, performance, quality and value continues in 2017.

The 2017.5 Altima is available in a choice of five models – 2.5 S, 2.5 SR, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL and 3.5 SL. The four 2.5-liter models feature a 179-horsepower 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine, while 3.5-liter Altima SL offers a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6. Both engines are matched with a standard smooth and efficient Xtronic transmission with enhanced third-generation D-Step Shift logic.

Fuel economy3 for 2.5-liter models is rated at an estimated 27 mpg city, 39 mpg highway and 31 mpg combined (26 city/37 mpg highway/30 mpg combined for 2.5 SR). The Altima 3.5-liter V6-equipped SL model offers estimated fuel economy4 of 22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined.
